About Dr Maasi


Maasi J. Smith, DPM, received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University’s School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also a proud graduate of Hampton University, located in Virginia.

Currently, he is a Foot Surgeon, in private practice in Philadelphia. He is also a medical contributor to Fox 29′s, “Good Day Philadelphia” and the “Ten O’ Clock News.” Dr. Smith has also appeared locally on both CBS and NBC10. In addition, he has been a frequent guest on numerous radio shows, including the “Tom Joyner Morning show.”

I am a surgical podiatrist who specializes in diagnosing and treating people with structural and soft tissue conditions of the foot ankle.  My initial general wound care and podiatric medical training was at Temple East Health System in Philadelphia Pennsylvania , followed by a podiatric surgical residency at the same facility.
After my residency I have provided comprehensive foot and ankle care for over a decade in Philadelphia.


Specialty & Clinical Interests

A native of Essex County, New Jersey, Dr. Smith graduated from Irvington High School in 1988, furthering his education at Hampton University in Virginia. As a Biology/
Pre-Med major it was not until his third year at Hampton that Dr. Smith developed an interest in podiatry and decided to pursue a career in podiatric medicine.
